This cake has been around a while in many variations, but this one is by far my favorite. I first had this at a high school graduation party where my junior high librarian brought it. As I have made it and brought it to friends throughout the years, one friend’s daughter kept calling it “Ms. Jami’s Famous Cake,” and it stuck.
Enjoy!
Ms. Jami’s Famous Cake
Ingredients
- 1 package Betty Crocker Butter Pecan cake mix
- 1/2 cup baking oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 container whipped topping (small)
- 1 package crushed Heath bits with chocolate
Instructions
- Bake the cake mix as directed.
- When the cake is done, use a fork to open holes in the cake that you can slowly pour the sweetened condensed milk into. (Try to poke holes throughout the cake so that the milk soaks in throughout to each piece.)
- Cover slightly, and let the cake cool.
- When cool, top with whipped topping, and then the Heath bits.
- Refrigerate at least an hour before serving, but preferably overnight.
